Al's Sporting Goods is Hiring a HR Generalist Near Idaho Falls, ID

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will assist the Director of Human Resources in various administrative tasks. The applicant will be comfortable managing complex employee-related issues, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
  • Manage employee records
  • Guide leadership in employee development and performance management
  • Perform new hire orientations and background checks, and update new hire records
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Coach managers through employee relation issues, including disciplinary action, employee coaching, conflict resolutions, and terminations
  • Participate in audits as required
  • Manage the recruiting at the store level
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Labor laws and regulations
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools
  • Ability to be objective and calm during stressful situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions

40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Pay DOE

Job Type: Full-time
